Scott Jelleyman is a strength & performance coach focusing on developing an individual’s strength. The belief is that building strength is a better focus than working only on fat loss. The idea of growth is an optimistic mindset instead of focusing on failure and a negative attitude. i.e., fat loss, loss of inches, loss of lifestyle.
Scott studied Exercise Science at the California University of Pennsylvania (currently Pennsylvania Western University
). Hee also carries a National Academy of Sports Medicine personal training certification and is a certified Level-1 speed coach under the National Association of Speed and Explosion.
As a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, Scott has held the science of exercise and nutrition in the highest regard since he started training clients in 2006. Scott became a personal trainer in 2005 before departing from the United States Marine Corps service. He has worked with clients in both big-box gyms and boutique fitness environments, training clients ranging from the stay-at-home parents, C-level executives, the 9-5 worker that is just trying to be a little healthier to recognizable names in professional athletics, to local golf pros, international runway models, bikini competitors, and athletes on multiple levels. Above all, an individual's results are most important; as we continue to move throughout our lives and work to establish healthy habits, our bodies will thank us later.
Scott has also worked with The Biggest Loser (2007), hosted a fitness/nutrition radio show (107.9 The Link), and was one of five personal trainers selected nationally to participate in a 90-day documentary to show the progress of a client with special needs. The documentary was successful as it was produced by Allied Health (a CNN partner), which played nationally for one year in all applicable healthcare facilities airing the Allied Health channel. (2008)
Scott believes building one’s strength promotes confidence, assisting with positive development when focusing on goals. The ideology of "strength first" allows for the development of muscles; building muscles leads to a better metabolism, and a more effective metabolism leads to body fat reduction, driving an effective way to adjust one’s body composition. The aspect of nutrition is built in by taking “baby steps “and learning how to engage one’s daily/weekly eating routine. Making small changes over time allows habits to develop, creating positive lifestyle changes.

My training style is simple: meet athletes where they are when it comes to performance. The athlete's level of conditioning and keep their goals in mind. I ask my athletes for their best efforts during training and non-training hours. I expect that changing one's life is a lifestyle, not a time card that one can punch in and punch out when desired. Stay committed and be the best you.
